The doctor

Dr. Aditya Sengar, urologist in Gomti Nagar Extension

Dr. Aditya P.S. Sengar is a consultant urologist, uro-oncologist and kidney transplant surgeon. He treats problems of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, prostate and urethra, and the male reproductive organs, in adults and children.

At Swastik Urology Clinic he runs a morning OPD for consultations, check-ups and follow-up. Patients come from Gomti Nagar, Gomti Nagar Extension, Shaheed Path, Chinhat, Sushant Golf City and the areas around, often with problems they have been putting off for a long time.

His aim at every visit is simple: find the cause, explain it clearly, and advise only the tests and treatment you actually need.

His approach

How he works with patients

  • Listening first. He takes a full history, including your medicines and past reports, before deciding on any test.
  • Plain explanations. He tells you what he thinks is wrong, what the reports show, and what the choices are, in Hindi, English, Bhojpuri or Gujarati.
  • Only what is needed. Many urine and prostate problems settle with medicines and simple changes. A procedure is advised only when it is likely to help.
  • Privacy. Questions about urine, sex or fertility are discussed in the consultation room, not at the front desk or on the phone.
  • Your decision. When there is more than one reasonable option, he explains each one so you and your family can decide together.

Clinic and hospital

How your care is planned

  1. Consultation at the clinic. He takes your history, examines you and reads your reports.
  2. Tests if needed. He tells you which tests will answer the question, and which ones you can skip.
  3. A plan you understand. Most problems are treated with medicines and simple changes, with a follow-up date.
  4. Hospital, only when it helps. If you need a procedure, he explains the options and plans it with you; it is done in hospital.
  5. Follow-up at the clinic. After a procedure, you can come back to the morning OPD for check-ups.

Swastik Urology Clinic

Swastik Urology Clinic is a urology OPD on the first floor at 5/582, Sector-5, Gomti Nagar Vistar, above RK Furniture, near Manya's Bakers and Sadar Tehsil. It is open in the morning only, Monday to Saturday from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, and closed on Sunday.

The clinic is for consultations, check-ups, reading reports and follow-up visits. You can read more about Swastik Urology Clinic, including how to find it and what to bring.

Second opinions

Many patients come to the clinic after being told they need an operation, or after months of treatment that has not helped. Dr. Sengar reads the reports and scans you bring, examines you again, and explains whether he agrees with the plan, what the alternatives are, and what he would advise. Bring every report you have, old and new, so tests are not repeated without need.

Hospital work

Dr. Sengar also consults at a hospital OPD elsewhere in Lucknow, and operations, transplants and cancer surgery are done in hospital. At your clinic visit he tells you where your procedure would be done and what to expect.

His full profile, with his hospital OPD, transplant and cancer work and conference talks, is on his own website: Dr. Aditya Sengar, urologist in Lucknow.
